Front Description

One of a series of pin-and-accessories sets released at the Japan DS to celebrate its 15th Anniversary. In each of the "Fabulous Assorted Book" series releases, a 7" by 10" black "book" opens from either direction to reveal items from one of two movies. In this case, the films are The Tigger Movie and Fantasia. THE TIGGER MOVIE Side - On the left inside cover is a basic synopsis of the movie (in Japanese). A separate sheet of paper gives typical safety warnings, etc. At top right is a horizontal postcard with The Tigger Movie poster showing. Beneath it is a cute standable cardboard picture frame. At bottom right is a notepad with Tigger on each page. Down the right side (from top) is a metal post pin (#97369) with Winnie the Pooh poking his head through a hole in a tree, looking at several bees and a puddle of honey. Below that is a thick metal pin with safety pin back showing the film's main characters (#97370). Below that are two slots for Tigger-striped stickers: One with Tigger and another with Rabbit. FANTASIA 2000 Side - The "book" opens from other side, with the inside right being the Japanese description of the movie. As with The Tigger Movie, there is a color postcard at top (with Mickey in the Sorcerer's Apprentice directing the stars). Beneath it is a very nicely-detailed bookmark shaped like a musical staff. At bottom left is a thick metal rectangular pin in button pin style (with safety pin back) featuring Yoyo Flamingo (#97368). At right (from top to bottom) are a metal post pin with Daisy and Donald Duck from the Noah's Ark segment (#97367), two stickers with Mickey from The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and then a cardboard cut-out of Yensid's hat (with a piece of clear plastic over a cut-out of the crescent moon). Though the binding of the "book" says "Limited Edition," there is no indication of edition size on pins or in the Japanese literature within. Other pin/assessory sets in the series include: Little Mermaid/Hercules [individual pins (#65320), (#69494) and (#69495) are posted, but not the set], Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas/Pocahontas (#85689), and Tarzan/Toy Story 2 (#97363). There are also pins released in sets for Sleeping Beauty (#90929), Peter Pan: Return to Neverland (#91481), Monsters Inc. (#91480), The Wild (#91479), World of Cars (#91478) and Toy Story 3 (#91475), but it is unknown the associations between these pins. If there were other sets released at the time, it is currently unknown.
