Front Description
This pin commemorates the Cars Land float for the 2013 Tournament of Roses Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA on January 1st, 2013. The pin features Lightning McQueen, Sally, Tow Mater, and Luigi. There are multiple flowers, orange hazard cones, clouds, blue sky, a checkered flag, airplane, Radiator Springs Butte, the attraction sign for Tow Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, and a sign that reads "Welcome to Cars Land." Tow Mater is a slider feature that can be hidden completely behind the pin, a movement featured in real life on the float. This pin is unique in that Disney was not authorized to put "Rose Parade" on their pin as that is controlled by the Rose Parade Committee. This pin was only given to a select few cast members that worked on building the float. In prior years volunteers received a pin, this year volunteers did not. The font on the banner reading "Rose Parade 2013" is crafstman style font made popular in Pasadena, CA by the Greene & Greene designed Gamble House, as in Procter & Gamble.
