Front Description
Released at the "Christmastime in the City" event at Downtown Disney on 15 Dec 2001, this COMIC STRIP #2 (as it was called on the 2001 official event calendar) spinning pin features a pin frame that reads "Disney Times" on the top and "1932" on the bottom. The front of the pin shows Mickey kneeling on the ground and watching as a dogcatcher with a net runs by. He has his hands on the ground and says "Gosh, What's This?" The panel spins around to show a black-and-white classic Mickey next to the words "Legend has it that Mickey Mouse was named aboard a train bound for Hollywood. Walt Disney considered 'Moritimer Mouse', but his wife Lillian suggested 'Mickey'." Each of these pins was individually numbered. [The third in a series of 12 pins reproducing the first Mickey Mouse Sunday comic strip. Although this pin will say No. 2 on it, it is really No. 3; while the one that says No. 3 is really No. 2.] #8209, #8614, #8738, #9516, #9877, #10491, #11138, #11756, #12645, #13305, #14565, #15561, #16165, #8695, #6664, #8764, #8765, #8766, #8767, #8768, #20398, #31534, #8769, #8601, #8602, #8603, #8604, #8605, #8473, #8738
