The excitement of the "Piece of Disney History" continues in 2010 at the Disneyland® Resort! Featuring actual pieces from historic attractions, this pin features Mickey Mouse himself riding the Disneyland® Railroad attraction - and contains an actual remnant of a railroad spike from this beloved attraction! This silver based pin measures 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” and has a single pin post at the very top-center. The back of the pin is stamped with the 2010 Pin Trading logo, and three separate rectangles: The highest rectangle states “A Piece of Disney History II” over “1 OF 12”, the middle rectangle states “LIMITED EDITION OF 2000”, and the lowest rectangle is stamped “© DISNEY” over “CHINA” The backer card states the following attraction history: “Walt was adamant that a train be a major part of the Disneyland® Park experience. Originally known as the “Santa Fe and Disneyland Railroad” from 1955 to 1974, this Disneyland attraction encircles the park. On October 1, 1974, the name was changed to “Disneyland Railroad.” This pin contains an actual remnant of railroad spike from this beloved attraction.”
