Front Description
This boxed set commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Disneyland® Resort Monorail and includes seven (7) individual pins highlighting the different models of the Monorail through the years. The pins include: Red Mark I Monorail (70585) Yellow Mark II Monorail (70586) Green Mark III Monorail (70587) Black Mark IV Monorail (70588) Purple Mark V Monorail (70589) Yellow Mark VI Monorail (70590) Orange Mark VII Monorail (70591) The back color is gold (as are the sides of the pin) with the newer Mickey head stamp all over it. The Mickey heads run off the edges of the pin. There are 2 posts located at the top of the pin 3/4" apart and about 1/4" from the top center.. There are 3 boxes on the back. From top to bottom: 1. Box 1--normal pin trading logo. Box is 3/4" wide and 5/8" long. The date in the box in the logo is 2009. 2. Box 2--just below and almost touching the box above. The box is rectangular (1" by 1/4") and contains 2 lines of print. Line 1 is: "2 (I grabbed pin #2) OF 7". Line 2 is "LIMITED EDITION OF 500" The quotations are mine. 3. Box 3--just below and almost touching the box above. The box is rectangular and is the smallest of all three. It measures 7/16" by 3/16". It contains 2 lines of print Line 1 is (copyright symbol) DISNEY. Line 2 is CHINA. The center of the box is only 1/16" from the bottom of the pin. There are no Mickey ear logos inside the boxes. The color inside the boxes is a smooth polished looking bright gold. The entire back is bright and VERY shiny. On 3 of my pins (and only 3), there is a capital P on the left side of the logo box. It is just a P, not an AP, or a PP (I wish!!), just a capital P. It is NOT in exactly the same spot on the 3 pins. It is located about 1/2 way between the logo box and the pin edge and slightly below the midpoint of the logo box. It is large enough to just fit inside one of the Mickey ears. It IS the same size, shape, and style on all 3 pins. It does not appear to be stamped in like AP or PP usually are. It feels slightly raised, about the raised height of the 2 or the 7 in the "2 OF 7" box. In size, it is bigger than any of the other letters or numbers on the back.
