Front Description
This round button, 2 ¼ inches in diameter, lights up to celebrate Mickey’s Birthdayland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Center’s IllumiNations. Created to celebrate the new attractions in 1988, the top half has five light up red bulbs in a night time setting. Surround this five bulbs are fireworks and laser beams of green from the nighttime spectacular at EPCOT Center: IllumiNations. In yellow dots, like the lights in evening, outlines the some of the pavilions of the World Showcase and its lagoon, including Germany’s clock tower, a Japan’s Torii, Italy’s Leaning Tower of Pisa, France’s Eiffel Tower, and a China’s pagoda. The bottom half of the button is red. The center of the button show’s Mickey Mouse wearing a tux and red bow tie. On his head is red and white birthday cap with a yellow pompom. He holding his arms out and coming out of a blue silhouette of Cinderella’s Castle. Below Mickey is in yellow font is: MICKEY’S BIRTHDAYLAND [in black] AND [in sliver gray] IlluminNations [in black] Walt Disney World ® On the bottom edge is © Disney Mickey’s Birthdayland was a temporary land created in 1988 (to 1990) to celebrate Mickey’s 60th Birthday at the Magic Kingdom. It was replaced by the more permanent Mickey’s Starland and is now called Mickey’s Toontown Fair.
