Front Description
Part of a series of 8 pins (separate pins of Snow White and each of the 7 Dwarfs), this large, heavy pin was made by one of the Lions Clubs (who are avid pin traders at their conventions). Grumpy is almost 1 1/2" tall and standing on a patch of green grass with his hand to his ear as if he is listening for something. There is a tiny Lions Club logo next to his name. This pin has 2 tacks on the back, but no backstamp of any kind. The other pins in this series are: #22202, #22203, #22204, #22205, #22207, #22209, and #22210. There seem to be various versions of the Snow White Lions Club pins. This pin is very thick, the metal separating the colors is broad, and the paint does not fill the entire cavity, leaving a series of rounded valleys. In other versions, the metal (and the gold separating the colors) is much thinner (are of normal thickness), the colors completely fill in the valleys and appear to be true cloisonne, and the backs are different (e.g., instead of multiple tacks, they may have a single tack, a brooch-style [safety pin] back, or even a long stick pin).
