Front Description

Disney Studio Store Hollywood surprise released this limited edition 200 pin celebrating the 40th anniversary of the film "The Rescuers" on June 22, 2017 for $19.95 each. It showcases on a round light blue background the white albatross aviating pilot Orville dressed in a lavender scarf and brown pilot cap shown while in flight above as he watches over his flown mice passengers, Miss Bianca and Bernard. The pair is seen by Orville and onlookers alike being motorboated through the splashing metallic swampy green bayou on a solid darker green leaf functioning as a boat by the blue and light green striped native dragonfly Evinrude sprouting metallic light green wings and a blue sweater vest. He has been enlisted to guide Bianca and Bernard through the Devil's Bayou where they have arrived in search of kidnapped little orphan girl Penny longing to be rescued. Penny shown on the right appears sad dressed in a white collared, long sleeved night gown with her signature light brown pigtail hairstyle and clutching her sole source of comfort, her light brown teddy bear whose ears are tucked underneath a darker brown night cap he wears along with a smiling expression. In the original film, Penny wore a light yellow night gown. It's unclear whether this color choice difference was intentional or an error but nonetheless each of the 250 made share this detail. Below her, Miss Bianca (to the far left) in the off white, light gray coat of mouse fur has her arm outreached to point out something to her companion Bernard, donning a darker mocha shade of fur, seated behind her who is turning his head to see what she has called his attention to. She is wearing her fashionable and feminine purple fur hat and matching shoulder wrap fastened into a pretty bow in front. Bernard is wearing a red long sleeved turtle neck sweater and reddish orange newsboy style cap, barely distinguishable in color difference from his sweater. Finally below them at the bottom of the pin features a pin on pin element in the shape of an outstretched hexagon block in royal blue that reads across it "The Rescuers" and centered beneath it "40th Anniversary" in gold etching with the exception of the word "Rescuers" which is in white and outlined in gold. Features 2 pin posts on back.
