Front Description
Mickey Mouse, Goofy, & Donald Duck with fife and drum and holding the American flag in the classic colonial, revolutionary pose used by Disney during the 1975 Bicentennial celebration. The pin is cloisonne' with two pin backs and sized 1 3/4 x 2. I acquired the pin at the 1987 Mouse Club/Disneyana Convention. Besides the original version listed here I have recently found 2 copies. One finished in dome enamel of very poor quaility with a clutch & pin type backing (Pin 40959). The other copy finished in cloisonne. Gold-finished, patriotic pin. This pin was inspired by the front cover of the July 1939 issue of Mickey Mouse magazine which sold for $0.10 and has the same artwork.
