Front Description
This is an older Kermit the Frog design in hard white plastic. He is shown from neck up, facing forward, mouth open in a large smile (red mouth and pink tongue visible). He wears a red and white Santa Claus hat with the end folding to the left. The bottom of the pin is jagged. The Muppets star is, of course, in green. The pin measures 2 1/8" (55 mm) tall by just under 1 3/4" (43 mm) wide. The reverse has a glued-on straight back with C-clasp, covered with a glued square piece of plastic to better secure. The signature reads, "© HENSON ASSOCIATES, INC. 1979". It predates the opening of Muppet-Vision.
