D23 releases their 2014 hinged stained glass commemorative pin to celebrate Walt Disney pictured inside in a B&W photo as he looked in 1923. A D23 membership ID is required to purchase this pin. Walt's image is framed above and below as if it were on an animator's desk. The shape is basically round with the photo surrounded in a black circle. The closed cover is hinged on the left side and is filled with red and orange simulated stained glass with gold simulated leading that outlines half a paint brush near the top of the circle and below it is a large "D23" in the middle with a hidden Mickey icon directly below it. There are also various sized circles connecting those three outlines. The pin back has two posts positioned vertically top and bottom on a gold Mickey icon waffle pattern that bleeds off the edges with no border. Below the top post is the Official 2014 Pin Trading logo, below which is says "D23 Commemorative Collection." To the left of that in a vertical box is the number N556-6633-4-13310. Another box near the bottom post has "(c)DISNEY MADE IN CHINA". It comes on its own orange D23 2014 backer card that has some of the pin design as a background. The size of the pin is Approx. 1 7/8" x 1 3/4". This pin was sold earlier than its intended DLR release date of 01/23/14, since it is not an LE. There is also a similar pin being released at WDW.
