Twenty-four characters from the World of Disney were selected to be represented through symbols and colors on 24 different cloisonné pins. The individual pins could be “hung” as “ornaments” either on the pop up pin card Christmas Tree or with the aide of the attached black ribbon onto a Christmas Tree. These pins were sold in a large case with 24 numbered drawers. This pin sees the light of the animated film, Tangled. The main character of this movie is Rapunzel, Disney’s tenth Princess. This movie is full of symbolism that provide plenty of iconic images that lend themselves nicely to being represented on this ornament shaped pin. The background of this pin is a blue-green color. This is a color that Rapunzel uses often in her paintings and can be seen on a good amount of the furniture decoration her tower room. This is also the color Flynn Rider/Eugene wears on his vest. Doodled swirls and flowers fill the background space. Rapunzel’s frying pan is amazingly useful not only as a cooking instrument, but also as a non-lethal weapon. It is placed a bit higher then the center of this pin, with the handle reaching out past the confines of the top, left edge. One of the lanterns that light the sky every year on Rapunzel’s birthday is the symbol that is positioned in the center of this pin. It is a pale yellow with a purple, stylized sun. This is identical to the lantern that Rapunzel lifts back into the sky before it has a chance to hand in the water and is believed to be the one the king and queen of Corona lit as that sun is the symbol of Corona. Rapunzel’s purple, corseted bodice is below the lantern. Part of her 70 foot long, thick, golden-yellow braid, peppered with pink and purple flowers flows around the top edge of the bodice. A little green pot with four paint brushed sit on the far left, just behind the braid. The back of all of these pins feature the Mickey waffling and a single post. On this pin, the Official 2020 Pin Trading Logo is just below the post. To the right is an info box that contains the “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” logo. Then there is an info box that contains the “Limited Release” info. At the bottom left is the “(C) Disney - China -Chine” info while bottom left is an info box with the FAC number.
