Front Description

This is one of the pins from the MGM STUDIOS three-pin map set which, when completed, is the twelfth (and last) of twelve "parts" which fill an entire poster-style map of Walt Disney World as it looked when the map was released in 2001. This pin highlights the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon, the Voyage of the Little Mermaid, the Main Gates, and more. The Socerer Mickey hat is the pin-on-pin element. The 2001 WDW Atlas Map, when filled, contains 25 pins. Available for sale to cast members only. The numbering on the 12-part series is a bit confusing, as reflected on the backstamps. 1/12, 2/12 and 3/12 are the three puzzle pins which make Downtown Disney. 4/12 comprises the five pins needed to complete Magic Kingdom. 5/12 is the standalone pin for Fantasia Garden. 6/12 comprises the four pins which complete EPCOT. 7/12 is the standalone pin for Winter Summerland. 8/12 comprises the five pins which make Animal Kingdom. 9/12 is the standalone pin for Blizzard Beach. 10/12 is the standalone pin for Typhoon Lagoon. 11/12 is the standalone pin for River Country. 12/12 comprises the three pins needed to complete MGM Studios. Please check back description on all single pins (not sets) to see how the numbering worked within the multi-pin numbers (other than Downtown Disney, of course). For example, one of the EPCOT pins will read ATLAS SERIES 6 of 12, EPCOT 2 of 4. Each of the 25 pins in this series has a pin-on-pin element. Unfortunately, these elements do not appear to have been riveted onto the multi-pin map sets, so many of those pins available now are missing their pin-on-pin piece. Rivets appear on the five standalone pins, however, so they do not seem to have this problem. 5459, 5881, 6947, 9324, 9946, 160772, 24375, 89709, 89708, 86038, 81137, 81093, 81092, 81091, 4370, 5115, 4828, 6503, 7582, 63129, 8686, 8159
