Front Description

This pin features Flynn Rider tied to a green chair by Rapunzel's blonde hair. Rapunzel is standing with her hand on her hip staring eye to eye with Flynn. Backstamp reads as follows; Disney's Soda Fountain and Studio Store Hollywood Limited Edition 300 © Disney China Pin is made of gold metal and also shows the Soda Fountain ice cream cone pattern all the way to the edges with no border. Pins in this series are: #80877, 80878, #80880, #80881, and #80882. Moderator warning May 12, 2014 The pin has been counterfeited not scrapped; being scrapped would entail the pin was made by the original factory and then pulled from production due to a minor flaw or imperfection. Some points to look for with fakes: -Flynn's skin-tone is blended in with the background; this is not due to sun-bleaching as there have been multiples seen with the same issue. -On the fakes, behind Flynn's upper-portion of his boot, the floor's coloring doesn't stretch all the way through. -On the fakes, the gold-lining for Flynn's finger on his out-stretched hand does not fully connect. It connects on the real pin. -The overall colors are dull and Rapunzel's purple dress and yellow hair aren't as rich on the fakes. -Some fakes show a gold-line missing from Flynn's pants toward his waist. -Some fakes also have added small dots in between the plant-like accents in the background. -The back of the real pin is clean, glossy and very smooth aside from the DSF ice cream logo. If you press your finger to it there should be a fingerprint left behind; it is impossible to do this with the fakes because the backs on the fakes are very rustic, grainy and dull in color. -You can see your reflection on the back of the real pin in some areas and when held up to the light it will reflect brightly. -The gold-lining on the real pin is slightly raised as opposed to the fakes in which it is completely smooth to the touch. -The edges on the fakes are very blunt, sharp and rough to the touch. -Upon closer inspection of the real and fake backs you can see that the fake pin has faint lines going vertically; the real pin has a gold-finish in which there are similar lines, but they are much fainter on the real pin, and they go horizontally. As such there are fakes in circulation in the pin community.
