Pin Pics is a pin information and trading community designed and implemented by a group of pin trading fanatics. Our goal is to raise awareness about which pins exist, where they came from, and how to get them. We plan to accomplish this goal by getting as many people involved as possible, to the extent to which they wish to participate. Everyone is invited to add pins to the database, comment on existing pins, or offer any other services they deem appropriate.

Anyone may also use the Trade Assistant to list which pins are in their collection and set up lists of trades and wants. These lists may be viewed by others, and the Trade Assistant can also automatically link up people who could potentially trade with one another. What a great way to meet new friends and make great trades on the Internet!

Although several administrators moderate the pin database as needed, the vast bulk of information in the database is provided by the Internet members of Pin Pics.

Basic navigation of the site is accomplished via the menu options along the left-hand side of the window or at the top of each page. The main sections of the site are:

Home:

Our home page contains the latest status about Pin Pics, and has links directly to new features and options.

 

Browse Pins:

The Browse Pics section is the primary interface for searching and displaying the pin database. Each pin in the database has certain characteristics which are searchable:

• Pin Number: Each pin in the database has a unique pin ID number.
• Origin: The pin's origin, such as Walt Disney World, Disneyland US, Disney Store, etc.
• Type: The pin's availability type, such as Public, Cast Member Only, Special Event, etc.
• Categories: Each pin can belong to a set of given categories such as Holiday Pins, Attraction Pins, Commemorative Pins, etc. A pin may belong to more than one category.
• Limited Edition: Whether or not the pin is limited edition, and what edition size.
• Description: A physical description of the pin, and any background or useful information about it.

Again, this information about each pin is provided and maintained by the member who added that pin. Anyone is welcome to add a comment to a pin if any of the information about it is incorrect or incomplete. Comments can be added on the bottom of each individual pin information screen.

Dizpins is our sister site, and handles the latest news and message boards relating to Disney pins. Be sure to visit Dizpins to learn what's coming out and what's going on at the parks.

 

Member Area:

This is where members may log in, and where new members can register. Membership is FREE, and is encouraged so that you can add pins, comment on pins, and set up trades. The purpose for membership is to allow you the ability to come back at a later time and edit any content you added to the site.

 

My PinPics:

The My PinPics section is the members forum, where you may list the pins in your collection, set up trades, and view any other members' pin lists or tradables. You can find more information about these pin listing and trading services on the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page.

 

Add A Pin:

Once you have registered, you may add pins to the database -- simply fill out the form giving each piece of information for the pin. You will be the owner of this new pin, and will have the ability to edit its information later.
