What is PinPics?

How do I buy these pins?
- PinPics is an information-only site, and no pins are sold here. However, many of the sites on our Links page either sell pins or provide shopping services. Pins are also listed for sale on Internet auction sites like eBay and the Dizpins Sale Board.
May I sell pins here, or contact your members?
- We do not allow references to pin sales/auctions on our site, or sending solicitations to our members. Please see our Terms of Use page for our official terms.
Can I use your pin images?
- Images on this site were submitted from many different people. Please feel free to copy them and use them on your NON-COMMERCIAL site in return for appropriate attribution to PinPics. See our Terms of Use for our official policies.
EBay rule: you may link directly to images on this site in your eBay auctions, but in return for this service, please place a link giving credit to this site in your auction text.
Is pin trading by mail safe?
- Short answer: NO. Hundreds of people have had a very enjoyable experience making new friends and trading over the Internet. However, we do not live in a perfect world and even in this hobby, there is the possibility that you will encounter some bad traders. Although we do everything in our power to discourage them, including bringing charges against them with the Postal Inspector, it is possible to lose pins.
We recommend you read their Dizpins Internet Pin Trading Guidelines to assist you with your online trading. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
How do you calculate a pin's Coolness statistic?
- The coolness statistic displayed on the Pin Information page is calculated by normalizing the rankings from the Coolest Pins survey to a scale of 0 (least cool) to 100 (most cool).
Each pin is awarded a rank via a chess ratings system, based on a series of challenges decided by YOU. By participating in the survey you help set the rankings which decide the coolest pins. To take the survey or view the pin rankings, visit the Coolest Pins page.
Is there a Pocket PC version of PinPics?
- At this time there is no Pocket PC version of PinPics only a Palm OS version.
