WDW - Cast Lanyard Hidden Mickey Series III (2008-2009)

Cast Lanyard Hidden Mickey Series 3 started September 2008. A further 12 pins were released in October and another 47 in November (which included the full 26 alphabet pins).
The 4 Fast passes were released In December making up the 75 pins that are shown on the list.

A Further 8 "COMPLETER PINS" were released at the "MOP event June 26th 2009. These 8 pins were only tradeable from the boards at the MOP event and they will not be released into general circulation!! All remaining pins are going to be destroyed after the event according to Disney sources.

Can only be obtained by trading with Cast Members or other traders. The Hidden Mickey Collection is a way for Cast Members at Disney Parks and Resorts to trade unique pins with Guests.

Guests can trade up to two (2) Hidden Mickey Collection pins per Cast Member, per day. "Hidden Mickey Pin" is featured in a small box on the backstamp of each pin.

Look for the Hidden Mickey! - How to identify a Hidden Mickey pin
One of the most popular questions in Disney Pin Trading is, "Do you have any Hidden Mickey pins?" To identify a Hidden Mickey pin, look for a small Mickey head silhouette on the front of the pin. The pin will have a backstamp that says, "Hidden Mickey Pin." It will also give a number of pins in that collection (i.e. 1 of 5). Finally, the pin will have a silver wash (the back of the pin will be colored in silver).

Where and How are Hidden Mickey Pins released?
Hidden Mickey pins are released at random to Cast Members at Disney Parks and Resorts. The Hidden Mickey pin checklist is a great resource for images of the pins. Please note that not every pin pictured may be available at a particular time. Availability of a particular pin is subject to change without notice.

Part of the fun behind the Hidden Mickey Pin Collection is searching for your favorite pins. Trade and collect the pins which are most important to you. Along the way, you are sure to meet Cast Members that are dedicated to making your visit to a Disney Park or Resort a magical one!
These pins will be introduced in the trading activities on Friday, Sept. 5 and Saturday, Sept. 6. For public day on Sunday, Sept. 7, we will not be using these new pins for trade (but Guests may still find some on the boards if other Guests have offered them in trade). In other words, we won't be supplying new Hidden Mickey pins designs once Public Day begins at 11:00 a.m.

Pins from the 2009 collection will then be introduced to all of Walt Disney World® Resort in October 2008 (or at least that is our plan). So, there will be a period of time between Disney's Pin Celebration 2008 and when more new designed will be introduced.

This year, we have a small change on how we are announcing the new Hidden Mickey pins (we are taking a cue from our team at Disneyland® Resort). At this year's event, we will not be showcasing the entire 2009 Hidden Mickey pin collection for Walt Disney World® Resort. We will only feature the first 12 pins from this collection (as pictured in the checklist that event Guests will receive at check-in). As new pins are released in the last few months of 2008, we will provide checklists and information on DisneyPins.com. We recognize that this is different than how we have done things in the past. Yet, we feel this change will preserve the excitement and specialness of these pins (besides, who doesn't love a little mystery?).

Two final thoughts on this subject - there will be a Yzma pin for all the Disney's Emperor's New Groove fans out there, and we may even see a V.I.N.cent pin in this next collection.

On March 10th 2009 the following groups of pins will be available to purchase in Mystery Pouches:-

Each mystery pouch will contain 2 random pins from the category that is selected, the cost is $10 per pouch of 2 mystery pins.
