This pin features Ludwig Von Drake. It has him (upper-half of body)in front of a globe with his arms outstretched. The globe spins around so that either Ludwig is facing forward or the globe is. Below him is a chalkboard with 40th Anniversary written on it in yellow and below that Ludwig Von Drake written on it in a brownish-red color. There are two pieces chalk laying at the bottom of the chalkboard. This pin is 2 1/4" tall and 1 3/4" at its' widest point. It is outlined in gold. This pin was released at the Animal Kingdom on Sept. 22, 2001 at the Pin Trade Parade Event.
It was also placed on the racks about the same time at Epcot's Pin Station. This pin's globe is anchored onto the retangular body of the pin in two spots. A number of these pins have broken, so be careful with him! |

When Walt Disney was planning the Disneyland Park the early 1950's, monorail systems in Germany caught his attention. Originally known as the Disneyland-Alweg Monorail System, this Tomorrowland attraction opened at Disneyland; on June 14, 1959 as the first daily operating monorail in the United States.
This pin features a red and white monorail train as a pin-on-pin with Ludwig Von Drake and an image of Walt Disney with a Monorail train. The Matterhorn mountain is seen in the background. This pin was designed by Artist Lin Shih from Disney Design Group.
